The 2026 Emmy Awards Take Flight at Aero Mock-Ups
We’ve had plenty of exciting productions come through our doors over the years, but it’s always fun to turn on the TV and spot one of our airplane sets — especially during the Emmy Awards.
Earlier this year, the production team behind the 78th Emmy Awards came to our North Hollywood airplane set facility to film aboard our Extra Wide Body Commercial Airplane Set. The footage became part of the show’s pre-recorded opening sequence, featuring host Mariska Hargitay on her way to television’s biggest night.
Not a bad passenger to have onboard!
A Little Emmy Magic in North Hollywood
For the shoot, the Emmy production transformed our Extra Wide Body Commercial Airplane Set into their own piece of the opening.
That’s one of the advantages of filming on a purpose-built commercial airplane set. Productions get the look of a real passenger aircraft with the space and flexibility needed for cameras, lighting, crew and talent — all without ever leaving North Hollywood.
Our Los Angeles facility has welcomed productions of all shapes and sizes, from feature films and television series to commercials, music videos and photo shoots, but seeing our airplane cabin appear during the Emmys was definitely a fun one for the Aero Mock-Ups team.
Looking for an Airplane Set in Los Angeles?
Aero Mock-Ups offers a wide range of airplane sets for film and television production in Los Angeles, including commercial aircraft cabins, cockpit sets, airplane seats, airport environments and aviation props.
Whether you need a full commercial airplane interior, a few rows of aircraft seating or a cockpit for your next production, our North Hollywood team can help get you ready for takeoff.
We’re grateful to the 2026 Emmy Awards production team for coming aboard — and thrilled to see our Extra Wide Body set make its appearance on one of television’s biggest nights.
